I have a Dell R740 Gen14 server with dual processors. Dell shipped the server with ~2 8GB Hynix memory modules in
slot A1 and B1. The server recognized this just fine. I recently purchased ~8 16GB Samsung memory module and populated the RAM as such: A1 B1, A2 B2, A3 B3, A4 B4. Everything was recognized by the server except slot A1 I initially thought it was a bad memory module, so I swapped it with a known working module but the system still did not recognize that there is a module in slot A1...
